How to Install ScreenCoach on Windows PC
To quickly link a Windows device to the family, follow these two steps using either a QR Code or a Pairing Code.
ScreenCoach works best when installed from a standard (non-administrator) Windows user account. Windows Administrator accounts will have elevated privileges which may enable the kid to bypass/uninstall ScreenCoach.

- Download ScreenCoach for Windows from: 👉 https://www.myscreencoach.com/download/
- Double-click the downloaded
.exefile to begin installation. - If Windows displays any warning messages (e.g., “Windows protected your PC” or “Unknown publisher”), click “More info” > “Run anyway” or allow access — it is safe to proceed.
- Once installed, launch the ScreenCoach app.
- If ScreenCoach is running, please quit that first by switching to the parent user account > Click on the menu on the top right > Quit
- To quit from the child user account, you’ll need the device QUIT PIN, but this is not usually recommended unless absolutely necessary.

- Double-click the downloaded
.exefile - If Windows displays any warning messages (e.g., “Windows protected your PC” or “Unknown publisher”), click “More info” > “Run anyway” or allow access — it is safe to proceed.
- Open the ScreenCoach app you just installed.
- Click on “Account – Sign in.”
- For a quicker login, you can use the the QR Code option below the sign-in form and scan it using the Parent device.

- Specify that the device will be a child device or a Shared device
- This will make sure that an extra script will be created to launch Screencoach automatically for this Windows user and to re-launch Screencoach if it should stop running for any reason
Note: You can also login with your ScreenCoach credentials or you can use Google/Apple credentials (under the same email address you signed up for ScreenCoach with).
Do not install ScreenCoach more than once when it is first installed, It should be installed in a common location all windows users can access.
- Switch to a different Windows user
- Open the ScreenCoach app (previously installed.)
- Sign is as per steps 3.3 - 3.5
- This will make sure that an extra script will be created to launch Screencoach automatically for this Windows user and to re-launch Screencoach if it should stop running for any reason
- Once linked/logged in to ScreenCoach on Windows, you will be prompted to Add a Quit PIN (if you are adding the device for the first time) which will be used to QUIT ScreenCoach on this device.
- If you have already added a QUIT PIN before, you can use the same here.
- Remember to enable Screen Time Tracking on this device. Open ScreenCoach > Go to Settings COG > Enter Parent PIN > Set as a child device or shared device

- To change the QUIT PIN, go to the settings on the device or via the devices list on a parent device, and set the quit PIN (at the bottom of the screen)
Next Step, Choose the child user on ScreenCoach who is going to use the device.
✅ The Windows device is now successfully linked to the family and the usage is being tracked by ScreenCoach.
- To create a new standard windows user for the child, Go to Settings App on your Windows PC > Accounts.
- If you already have a windows user created for your child, you can change it to "standard" in this same screen.
