How do I set up an app for always-free usage on ScreenCoach (so it doesn’t consume daily allowance or tokens)?

You can achieve this by creating a custom mode—for example, “School Mode”—and setting the Time Multiplier to "Free Usage". This means any time spent in this mode will be multiplied by zero and won’t consume your child’s free time or tokens.

Steps to set it up:

  1. Open the ScreenCoach app and log in as a Parent.

  1. Go to Settings.

  1. Tap on Manage Modes.

  1. Tap the large pink “+” button to create a new mode and name it (e.g., School Mode).

  1. Choose an icon for the mode and turn off "Allow Concurrency".

  1. Enable the mode for the child users who will use it.

  1. Set the active schedule for the mode — for example: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

  1. Tap Save.

  1. Tap on the newly created School Mode.

  1. Go to the Daily Limits tab.

  1. In the Time Multiplier dropdown, select “Free Usage.”

Now, any apps assigned to this mode will be available during the set time without using up the child’s daily time or tokens.
