Setting up Passcode on iPhones & iPads

It is recommended to always have a Passcode set up for your iPhone/iPad - as it plays a vital role in calculating screen time sessions.

To set up a Passcode:

  1. Go to Settings on your iPhone/iPad
  2. Scroll down and Tap on “Face ID & PassCode”
  3. Scroll down and look for “Turn PassCode on” - Tap on that
  4. You will be asked to create a 4 digit or 6 digit passcode if you don’t have a passcode set up already. Just enter your passcode, and you will be asked to enter it again to verify. Your Passcode is turned on now.
  5. You can choose to have a 4 digit, 6 digit, alphabetic or alpha-numeric passcode by tapping on the “PassCode options” in the bottom of the Enter your passcode screen.
  6. Ensure that the "Require Passcode" setting on the same screen is set to "Immediately."
