# How to enable or disable a mode?



**You may have some modes that you may want to turn on and off for different reasons, e.g.,**

* School holidays  
* Turn on at the start of school holidays & off when they go back to school.  
* Free time  
* a mode that you may want to enable when you have a visitor, which can have a time multiplier "Free Usage."

The mode is enabled/disabled in a similar way in the web portal and the mobile app.

| On your ScreenCoach mobile app:

* On your parent device, go to "Settings" in the tab bar at the bottom of the screen.  
* Select "Modes."  
* Then select the money that you want to edit
* Turn on/off the toggle below the Mode to enable/disable.
