# How do I reduce my child's screen time for today only?

If you need to reduce your kid's screen time only for today, the best solution is to add a manual session. 
 
**Here are the steps:**

* Locate the child card in the main screen
* Tap on the horizontal bar inside the card, which shows your child's total available time for today  
* Tap "+ Add manual session"
* Select a mode that consumes time
* Select the duration -- this will be the time deducted from your kid's screen time 
* Tap "Save"
